Last week Nancy and I got together to play with polymer clay. What a blast! We pretty much read up on the internet and gave it a shot. The following pictures are what I made ... Some beads and a floral pendant. Not bad for a first try. My head is swimming with ideas. (just what I need ... Another hobby!)

So, my dear friend Nancy gifted me with a hummingbird feeder and the nectar to go in it on Tuesday when I went over for a Fimo adventure (another post for that). We have them here and there on flowers, but I want more (as always!). Anyways, I put it over the rose garden, where I have now planted canna, crocosmia and day Lilly's in addition to the remaining rose bushes. Let's hope!

Made the yummiest blueberry muffins today using this recipe found on Pinterest: www.citronlimette.com/recipe_archive/breakfast/healthy-blueberry-muffins. Mine are a little over baked (got distracted) but they won't last long enough for that to be a problem! I imagine they can be made with just about any fruit or even veggie. A little less sugar would work also. Great recipe!
About every other month Big Brothers/Big Sisters sends a truck around for donations of clothing and small household goods. They send a card to let us know when they will be around and it is this Friday. So I got busy and weeded out lots of stuff. There is definitely more where that came from..we will just wait for the next card!

Well, the day after I quit work, I managed to come down with a lovely chest cold. I stopped drinking coffee also (for the record 3/20/2014) . . Not sure that was part of my master plan but it is done. Aside from the cold I feel great. Lots more energy and sleeping is better too. No stomach upsets either. It really hasn't been long enough to realize the true effects or if it will even stick, but we shall see!

Finally took the plunge and stopped working. Starting off with a major cold didn't help, but this too shall pass. I decided to start up the blog again as sort of a diary. Some days will just be reflections, others chronicles of projects and home improvements. Where this will go nobody knows!
